The SHIBA program needs volunteers to be Advisors. An interest in medical insurance, an eye for detail, and a desire to help others are the necessary qualities. A commitment to 30 hours of initial training and a two-hour update once a month prepares you to answer questions regarding Medicare, Medicaid and other insurance options available.
